Tone & Texture - ring

this flameworked glass ring has copper filament & brass mesh on an ivory colour, creating an organic & graphic scene under the clear glass window. the band is made with a copper red glass that reacts to the torch flame when heated so the inside of the band, which does not receive much heat, is a brighter coral-red than the outside that is a deeper, reactive maroon-red.

i love the endless world of bubbles and textures in ice and glass can mimic this beautifully. bringing in a bit of colour and a bit of texture these minimal pieces means that each bit of glass brings with it its own little world waiting to be discovered.
