pop! of Colour - earring

small pieces of coloured glass are melted together to give the elusion of deep ice. a mix of transparent and opaque colours from clear to a deep midnight blue hang to a length of 37mm. the clear glass is applied hot directly to the stainless steel stud so there is no glue while in the torch & then properly annealed for strength. 

ice is amazing in its ability to reflect & absorb light. standing on a lake covered in 2 feet of thick ice gives you the impression of dark, almost black ice while a think layer of ice on a moving river during a sunset reflects back pale yellows & blues. in the style of the modernists, the pop! of Colour collection breaks down ice into its range of colours for a fun, graphic look at ice.
